Bidding
Q1: How do I start bidding on MyOwnPrice.com.ng?
To start bidding, you must first create an account or log in if you already have an account. Once you’re logged in, browse through available items and select the one you want to bid on.
- Insert your bid amount and Start Bidding.
- You’ll see a pop-up “Do you really want to bid N…?” Click OK
- You’ll be prompted to pay the non-refundable bid fee. Click PROCEED
- Select “Debit/Credit Cards” and click PAY
- Input your card details and click PAY NGN100
- You will see the bid fee details as evidence of successful payment.
- Click BACK TO PRODUCT PAGE
- Re-enter bid amount and click Submit
- Repeat step 2 above. You’ll see a confirmation that reads: “Your bid of N…has been placed successfully”.
Q2: What does it cost to place a bid?
Each bid placed costs ₦100. You’ll be prompted to make this payment before you can submit your bid.
Q3: What is the Bid Amount?
This is the amount you are willing to pay for the item on offer. You decide how much you can pay and that is your bid amount.
Q4. Will I be debited for the Bid Amount when I submit my bid?
No, you won’t. The Bid Amount will be paid only by the winner of the auction. If the winner fails to pay after the maximum time allowed, the next highest bidder will be considered the winner and will be requested to pay and collect the item.
Q5: How will I know if I’ve won a bid?
Once an auction ends, winning bid amount will be displayed against the item, and the highest bidder will receive an email notification congratulating them for winning. The email will include a “Pay for Item” button to complete payment for the item won.
Q6. How do I collect my won items?
All won items are to be collected from our designated location where the item is stored. However, we can also ship to the winner’s address if requested. Cost applies.
Payments
Q1: How do I pay for placing a bid?
When you click on the “Place Bid” button, you’ll be required to pay ₦100 as the bid fee through any of our secure payment methods. Please follow the onscreen instructions.
Q2: How do I pay for an item I won?
If you win a bid, an email will be sent to you with a payment link or button labelled “Pay for Item.” Click on it to make payment for the product you won.
- Select “Debit/Credit Cards” and click PAY
- Input your card details and click PAY
- Authenticate the payment with your pin or OTP
- You will see a message confirming your payment is successful
Q3: What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay using debit/credit cards, bank transfer, or other supported payment gateways displayed during checkout.

Q1: How do I create an account on MyOwnPrice.com.ng?
Click on the “Register” button on the homepage and fill in your details. Once registered, you can log in to start bidding.
Q2: How can I view my bids and purchases?
Log in to your account and visit your Dashboard to view your bid history, active bids, and items won, profile details, edit your billing & shipping address.
Q3: What if I forget my password?
Click on the “Forgot Password” link on the login page, enter your registered email, and follow the instructions sent to reset your password.
